15- October-1996 H.D. Deve Gowda, Prime Minister, launched the concluding ceremony of the 85th year of ICMR at Vigyan Bhavan, New Delhi. He also gave away the ICMR Prizes and Awards (1994-95) to outstanding bio-medical scientists of India.
15- October-1996 Dengue fever in Delhi takes 156 lives.
